Tara Squibb is an exciting and emerging designer from Wales, primarily utilising stoneware and porcelain as her chosen materials, creating both wheel thrown and handbuilt forms.
For over 25 years, she has lived in the heart of Wales on the Powis Castle estate, an idyllic backdrop that provides constant inspiration towards the form, texture and colours of her works. Tara Squibb’s has always had a deep appreciation for nature and geology and that is evident in her collections.
Since graduating from the School of Creative Arts, Wrexham Glyndwyr University, she has been building quite a name for herself. Her designs can be found in many locations nationally, and her work has been celebrated at multiple exhibitions, including Ceramic Wales 2019 and Shades of Clay 2018. Not only that, she presented a solo window exhibition at Bluecoat Display Centre and was noted in Ceramic Review as ‘One to Watch’. Tara Squibb was also the winner of the Carter Preston People’s Vote 2018 and 2019.
At First of March, we believe there is so much more to come for Tara Squibb!
