Mary Ann Simmons

Jewellery & Metal

Mary Ann Simmons is one of the UK's leading silversmiths with her work found in national and international collections such as the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths, the British Museum and the Museum of Art, New York.

Her designs are a ‘celebration of silver in contemporary life’ - the clean, minimal line forms she creates at once modern yet infused with the heritage of her craft.

Always experimenting, researching and pushing the boundaries of her chosen medium, Mary Ann's fascination with the box form has led to an innovative and exciting body of work - much of it driven by private commissions and collaborations with other leading silversmiths and metal artists.

Graduating with a First Class Honours degree from the Sir John Cass Faculty of Art and Design, she completed a Masters Degree from the Royal College of Art (London).

She is a former Chair of Contemporary British  Silversmiths,  a Liveryman of the Goldsmiths' Company(London) and Brother of the Artworkers Guild.
