Hidden Words 4

Previous Commission

From the Hidden Words Collection - Hidden words 4

This exquisite enamel bowl is from the Hidden Words Series.

The fine lines of the abraded interior detailed with black, irregular shapes, create a grey effect which  complements the solid black exterior surface.

Inspired by Beate Gegenwart's fascination with ways of communicating through the language of craft and her exploration of what lies between - the hollow centre a space for curiosity and innovation.

Made from steel, vitreous enamel, sgraffito with abraded layers, was first showcased at Springfield USA.
