One of a series of small scale sculptures depicting the female form, this piece is characteristic of Angela Farquharson’s work and her interest in classical figurative sculpture. 

The textile ‘detail’ is inspired by the folds and flow of fabric as it drapes across the body, creating new interest and a sense of sensuality within the piece. 

This sculpture, with its flowing lines, captures the essence of something being held close, protected, a face hidden by the wind as it sweeps through her hair,  giving a sense of freedom to this classical pose.  

This beautiful study of a flower nymph combines the exceptional attention to detail characteristic of Martin’s work with his ability to create a story which invites the observer to pause and reflect.

 Despite it’s scale the eye is drawn to the detail which makes the piece both intimate and powerful.
