A stunning pendant created for Collect 2025.
Shown here with Fragile Form Pendant No.1 this unique piece is crafted from 18ct gold and black ruthenium - two precious metals chosen by Mari Thomas to reflect our curatorial theme of Black and Gold.
Hand carved, the pendant features the words written in response to our call for new work to showcase at Collect 2025 while reflecting the central motifs of words and language within the Fragile Form Collection.
A stylish addition to the Collection, the pendant can be bought separately or paired with the contrasting brooch in 18ct gold and black ruthenium.
From her Fragile Form Series, a beautifully sculpted piece by Mari Thomas for Collect 2025.
The sculpture evokes the fragile pages of an ancient book, words in Welsh and English hand carved into its surface to reflect the lasting impact and power of language, the wisdom of ages held within the ‘pages' - the written word being the last to decay and die.
The hand carved lettering in this beautiful sister piece to Fragile Form Sculpture No#1 captures the signature motifs within the Fragile Form Collection.
Created for Collect 2025, the sculpture evokes a sense of decay and fragility as seen in the pages of an ancient book - the words and language, the wisdom they hold, remaining when all else has withered and gone, the sculpted form reminiscent of a turning page.
Sculpted to depict a sense of age and decay, but where precious words still speak, this exquisitely crafted 'page' is hand carved to capture the words and poetry, of Welsh writer, Dr Mererid Hopwood.
The pressed flowers add to the stirring of memory, captured for all time in this exquisitely crafted work.

The graceful lines and elegance of expression in this beautiful study is typical of Angela’s work as she explores the inherent beauty and sensuality of the female form.
Drawing on classical figurative sculpture, Angela creates an exquisite study in bronze that invites the observer to consider and reflect.
Margarets Creatures Collection has developed over 20+ years. From travelling around the UK, she has spent a lot of time watching wildlife in moors, mountains, estates and fields in their natural habitats. She has created 'Hare at Dusk' from observing many hares in an evening, bouncing across fields and with its nose in the air.
A ceramic sculpture epitomising the simplicity of form and textural elements typical of Wendy Lawrence’s work.
The herringbone pattern is carved with hand tools to echo the striations found in rock and ancient stone edifices, becoming part of the form as well as the surface of the piece.
Inspired by ancient stone circles this piece generates a sense of solidity and continuity, connecting us with our heritage and spiritual landscape.
The works are high fired and are suitable for any interior or exterior spaces.
This beautifully crafted bowl made from steel, vitreous enamel, sgraffito with abraded layers, contrasts a rich back exterior with the characteristic soft grey/white interior marked with soft flowing lines and irregular shapes.
Inspired for her fascination with what lies between - the hollow centre a space for curiosity and innovation.
