Indra's Net

Beate Gegenwart
£3,900.00

Inspired by William Blake's poem ‘Indra’s Net’ this beautiful sculpture created by Beate Gegenwart for Collect 2025, encapsulates signature motifs within her work - movement and fluidity. In this piece she evokes the intricate rhythms of water - the sparkling currents and ever changing movement of the sea - observed as she walks near her home in Gower. Mounted here on red, the sculpture can be backed with different colours as shown below, drawing out different motifs within the work and our response to it.

Sea of Stories

Beate Gegenwart
£3,800.00

Created for Collect 2025, ‘Sea of Stories’ is a wall panel which invites closer attention, filled with the mysteries and stories of the oceans - or what we choose to see within it.

Typical of Gegenwart's work,  the piece explores the themes of rhythms and water - recurring motifs within her work - with her unique treatment of the copper giving it a particular tone, depth and interest.

Additional complexity is added to the work by the choice of a white mount - drawing out the reflections of the lattice work to give the piece a 3 dimensional quality and provoke a tactile, as well as a visual, exploration of the work.

For the close observer, words are etched within the panel to emphasise the language of the piece, the darkness of the work countered by the light enamel details.

The colour of the mounting board can be changed to create different effects and interpretations of the work, but it is shown here in white as it was at Collect 2025.

Pinstripe Vessel (2)

Mary Ann Simmons
£3,340.00

This piece by Mary Ann Simmons is typical of her experimentation with the simple box form to create unique and original silver works.

Responding to our curatorial theme for Collect 2025 -  'Black &Gold' - she developed these tall faceted 'pinstripe' forms to take advantage of the dramatic of contrast of gold accents against a black background.

Shown here individually and in a group, Pinstripe Vessel (2) is one of a series of works that can be purchased seperately or as a triptych as shown below.

Dark Treasures

Verity Pulford
£3,250.00

A hand made circular wall piece in black , white and soft blues.

To meet the curatorial theme,  Verity created this piece in beautiful monotones with mystical and gothic overtones.  Inspired by the forms and organisms found in nature, this work is typical of Pulford's signature work, but presented in a new and distinctive colour palette.

Pinstripe Vessels (3)

Mary Ann Simmons
£3,130.00

Simmons' response to our curatorial theme of ‘Black and Gold’ was to create this unusual collection of ‘pinstripe’ forms using the dramatic contrast of gold accents against a black background to accentuate the edge to each individual face.

Simmons uses the box form to create her exceptional silver work which has evolved from cubes to an exploration of symmetric and asymmetric, multifaceted forms.

These pinstripe vessels created for Collect are a perfect example of this exploration and can be purchased individually or separately.
